Job Full Description
Customer Service Representative/Billing Specialist to answer phone calls and assist with office work/billing. This individual will work Monday through Friday from 9:00 am-5pm, or hours agreed upon between employee and owner. Employee will report to the business owner.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Exceptional phone and customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Prior administrative office or DME experience a plus
- Basic computer and software skills
- Be able to lift 15-20 lbs independently
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Comply with all applicable policies, procedures, and patient protocols.
- Work on outstanding claims through accounts receivable
- Work denied claims and submit them to proper insurance company
- Participate in educational and professional programs to maintain knowledge
- Educate patients in proper use and care of equipment
- Maintain rapport with physicians and office staff
- Assist in resolving patient equipment problems
- Develop technical knowledge of durable medical equipment
- Answer calls, insurance verifications, filing, orders, mailing, faxing
- Order products and office supplies as needed
- Maintain clean, stocked showroom
- Organize and maintain storage area
