Day Porter / Facilities Maintenance
Location: Eugene, OR
Schedule: Day Shift | Full-Time
Pay: $22/hr
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Day Porter to maintain the cleanliness and overall appearance of the designated property. This role combines janitorial, groundskeeping, and light maintenance duties to ensure a clean, safe, and professional environment for tenants and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of exterior spaces including sidewalks, parking lots, common areas, and landscaping
- Collect and dispose of trash; empty and clean receptacles and ashtrays
- Sweep, blow, and remove debris, leaves, gum, and litter from property grounds
- Clean exterior features including benches, signage, trash enclosures, and common seating areas
- Perform basic janitorial duties indoors (restrooms, hallways, elevators, floors, windows)
- Identify and report maintenance needs (lighting, safety hazards, landscaping issues)
- Assist with light maintenance tasks such as changing bulbs and minor repairs
- Support seasonal needs including light snow removal and weather-related upkeep
- Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition
- Document work and communicate updates using mobile applications
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of janitorial, groundskeeping, or maintenance experience
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean environments
- Comfortable using smartphones/apps for work tracking and communication
- Experience using basic tools and equipment (blowers, vacuums, pressure washers, etc.)
- Valid Oregon Driver’s License with a clean driving record
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical labor throughout the shift
- Frequent lifting of 25–50 lbs
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to use ladders and operate light equipment
Work Environment
- Combination of indoor and outdoor work in seasonal conditions
