Job Title: Development Manager
Pay: $24–$28 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday (some evenings and weekends as needed)

 

Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and driven Development Manager to join a local nonprofit organization focused on making an impact in the lives of youth. This is a key leadership role responsible for designing and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy to support the mission and future growth of the organization. The Development Manager will build and maintain donor relationships, oversee fundraising campaigns and events, and lead efforts to secure major gifts, grants, and sponsorships.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategic fundraising plan aligned with organizational goals

  • Cultivate and steward relationships with individual donors, foundations, and corporate partners

  • Lead annual giving campaigns, major gift initiatives, and planned giving programs

  • Assist in grant writing, applications, and reporting

  • Manage donor databases and communication strategies

  • Create compelling fundraising materials and campaigns

  • Plan and execute fundraising events and donor engagement activities

  • Provide regular progress reports to leadership

  • Supervise development staff, volunteers, and volunteer coordinators

  • Serve as part of the organization’s leadership team

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising or development

  • Proven track record of meeting fundraising goals and deadlines

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Experience with donor management software

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

  • Passion for community service and youth development

Work Environment:

  • Office setting, community venues, and outdoor event locations

  • Must be able to work in varying weather conditions during events

  • Routine use of standard office equipment

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to talk, hear, sit, stand, and walk regularly

  • Frequently lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds

Travel Requirements:

  • Primarily local during business hours

  • Occasional out-of-area and overnight travel for training or events
