Fire Camp Catering / Food Service Worker
Job Type: Temporary/Seasonal | Fire Camp Support

Job Summary:
We are seeking dependable and hardworking individuals to support firefighting catering services at active fire camps. This position helps provide meals and essential food-service support to firefighters and emergency personnel working long shifts. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, following safety and sanitation procedures, and working as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparing, serving, and packaging meals for firefighters and support personnel.
- Set up and maintain food service and dining areas.
- Help with food preparation, including washing, cutting, portioning, and packaging ingredients.
- Restock food, beverages, and supplies as needed.
- Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and food-service equipment.
- Maintain clean and sanitary kitchen, serving, and dining areas.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing food and supplies.
- Work efficiently during high-volume meal periods.
- Perform additional general labor and catering duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous food service, catering, kitchen, or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work long shifts in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work well with a team.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.
- Ability to lift and carry food, supplies, and equipment.
- Must be willing to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays, depending on fire camp needs.
- Must be able to follow instructions and maintain a professional attitude in emergency-response environments.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent bending, reaching, carrying, and moving supplies.
- Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
