Oral Surgery Assistant

Express Employment Professionals is searching for an Oral Surgery Assistant. This is for a local oral surgery facility. The starting wage is $21-$22 an hour!

Position Overview

As an Oral Surgery Assistant, you will play an essential role in creating a positive patient experience while supporting our oral surgeons throughout a variety of surgical procedures. This position combines both clinical and administrative responsibilities and offers the opportunity to develop specialized skills in oral surgery.

This is a full-time position, averaging 40 hours per week. Work schedules may vary, with shifts generally falling between 6:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Candidates must be willing to work at both our Medford and Grants Pass offices.

What You'll Do

  • Welcome patients and prepare them for consultations and surgical procedures.
  • Review and document patient medical histories, vital signs, and health information.
  • Assist the oral surgeon during procedures, including monitoring patients during sedation and recovery.
  • Capture diagnostic imaging, including panoramic, PA, and i-CAT radiographs.
  • Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and surgical equipment before each procedure.
  • Maintain a clean, sterile clinical environment by disinfecting and sterilizing instruments according to infection control standards.
  • Provide patients with compassionate support before, during, and after treatment.
  • Educate patients on post-operative instructions and answer general questions.
  • Complete required certifications, including CPR, ACLS, PALS, and DAANCE, with employer-provided training.
