Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for an experienced Skilled Paving Laborer to join a reputable local paving contractor in the Rogue Valley. We are looking for someone who understands asphalt paving operations, works well as part of a crew, and can contribute from day one.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dependable, hardworking individual with previous paving experience who enjoys working outdoors in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with all phases of asphalt paving operations.
- Work alongside the paving crew during paving spreads.
- Rake and spread asphalt to achieve proper grade and finish.
- Support screed and paving machine operations.
- Perform hand work around edges, driveways, utilities, and other areas inaccessible to equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe worksite.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and maintaining tools and equipment.
- Follow all company safety procedures and job site requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working on an asphalt paving crew is required.
- Must understand the flow and responsibilities of a paving spread.
- Experience operating a roller is a strong plus.
- Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and moving machinery.
- Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Able to work well with a team while following direction from supervisors.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and working outdoors for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in varying weather conditions, including heat.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the shift.
Schedule & Pay
- Full-time
- Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed.
- Competitive pay based on experience.
