Job Full Description

We are recruiting a dependable and compassionate Customer Service Technician for a local medical equipment provider. This position combines equipment delivery and setup with hands-on customer service and administrative support.

The Customer Service Technician will deliver, set up, and maintain medical equipment, oxygen, and supplies in patients’ homes. This individual will also teach patients and caregivers how to safely use and maintain the equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver, set up, and maintain medical equipment, oxygen, and supplies
  • Explain the safe use and proper care of equipment to patients and caregivers
  • Provide professional customer service by phone and in person
  • Prepare daily delivery tickets and coordinate routes
  • Complete invoices, work orders, manifests, route sheets, logs, and patient instructions
  • Gather and enter patient and referral information
  • Assemble files and prepare accurate documentation for billing
  • Assist with insurance coverage verification
  • Maintain referral and equipment-tracking records
  • Coordinate deliveries with office and location personnel
  • Assist walk-in patients and referral sources
  • Keep the assigned company vehicle clean and in safe working condition
  • Identify and report equipment hazards or product incidents
  • Follow all safety procedures and use required protective equipment
  • Participate in on-call assignments as needed
  • Manage several responsibilities and priorities throughout the day
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Comfortable working directly with patients and caregivers
  • Dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks
  • Able to accurately complete paperwork and data entry
  • Comfortable learning medical equipment, products, and applicable regulations
  • Able to work cooperatively with customers and team members
  • Willing and able to travel locally to patients’ homes
  • Able to participate in an on-call schedule as needed
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Travel Requirements:

Local travel is required for equipment setup, service, and recurring deliveries. A company or personal vehicle may be used depending on the assignment.
