Starting Pay: $17.00/hour
A local machinery shop is seeking an experienced Sawyer to join its growing team. This hands-on manufacturing position is responsible for operating a vertical bandmill and other cutting equipment to produce metal stock according to job specifications.
Primary Responsibilities:

Operate a vertical bandmill and other metal-cutting equipment

Measure, mark, and cut metal stock to required dimensions

Read work orders, measurements, and basic shop specifications

Inspect finished materials for accuracy and quality

Safely load, position, and remove materials from equipment

Perform basic equipment checks and report maintenance concerns

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Follow all company safety procedures and production standards
Qualifications:
-
Previous saw operation, machining, fabrication, or metal manufacturing experience preferred

Comfortable using tape measures and basic measuring tools

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Ability to safely handle metal stock and perform physical work throughout the shift

Dependable attendance and the ability to work well as part of a team
