Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for a local manufacturing company in White City, Oregon. We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join a growing manufacturing team. Position Overview
The Assembly Technician will use a variety of hand and power tools to assemble mechanical and electro-mechanical components while following engineering drawings, assembly instructions, and established quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical and electro-mechanical components according to drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Use hand tools, torque tools, pneumatic tools, and basic electrical tools.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
- Perform quality inspections and verify completed assemblies meet specifications.
- Use basic measuring equipment and accurately follow torque specifications.
- Identify and troubleshoot basic mechanical or electrical issues.
- Operate a forklift as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation while following 5S and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members and work independently when required.
- Follow all safety procedures and immediately report hazards or unsafe conditions.
- Assist with other assembly and manufacturing duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
- Experience using hand tools, torque tools, and/or basic measuring equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1–3 years of mechanical assembly, final assembly, or similar manufacturing experience.
- Experience with complex mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly.
- Experience working with torque specifications, quality inspections, and final testing.
- Manufacturing experience in aerospace, automotive, machining, metal fabrication, or heavy equipment.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and 5S principles.
- Basic mechanical or electrical troubleshooting experience.
- Forklift experience.
