Job Full Description
As a Mechanical Designer you will play a critical role in developing working drawings, manufacturing instructions, and innovative product designs. Collaborating with a diverse client base and internal teams, you’ll help refine existing designs and create new solutions using industry-leading software tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Adobe Illustrator.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed working drawings, including dimensions, materials, and manufacturing instructions.
- Collaborate with clients to design custom products and improve existing designs.
- Support quoting processes by creating accurate production drawings and estimates.
- Utilize software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator, and Excel to create high-quality designs and documentation.
- Ensure designs align with fabrication processes and production capabilities.
- Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and team members to ensure project success.
- Prioritize tasks to meet multiple or fluctuating deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D design software; SolidWorks experience preferred.
- General knowledge of fabrication processes and tools.
- Ability to read and accurately interpret measuring instruments.
- Strong time management skills to balance competing priorities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration.
- A self-starter attitude with a dependable, flexible, and results-driven work ethic.
