Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for a Mill & Warehouse Technician to support daily production, material processing, equipment cleaning, and warehouse operations. This position is ideal for someone who is safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate equipment and use hand tools to process raw materials according to established procedures.
- Measure, weigh, and prepare materials according to production schedules and specifications.
- Follow production schedules to ensure materials are processed accurately and efficiently.
- Assemble and disassemble equipment for production, cleaning, and routine maintenance.
- Clean and sanitize equipment, verify cleanliness, and complete required documentation.
- Label, package, and prepare finished materials for storage or shipment.
- Maintain accurate production records, inventory documentation, and batch traceability.
- Identify and report inventory discrepancies, equipment issues, and quality concerns.
- Follow all safety procedures, food safety requirements, and proper PPE guidelines.
- Work with production, warehouse, and inventory teams to maintain an organized and efficient operation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous manufacturing, production, or warehouse experience preferred.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions, procedures, and production schedules.
- Basic math skills, including measurements, weights, and quantities.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate recordkeeping skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
- Commitment to workplace safety, cleanliness, and quality standards.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Work in a warehouse or production environment that may be noisy, dusty, and not climate-controlled.
- Exposure to airborne particles, strong material odors, and potentially slippery surfaces.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods.
- Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 75 lbs. with assistance.
- Must be willing to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
