Job Full Description
General Summary: The QC Panel Spray Tech I position is an entry level position where the fundamentals of the position and function of the department are learned. The Tech I position supports the QC department by spraying out QC panels for inspection to ensure the quality of product from specific orders.
Essential Job Functions:
- Take direction from QC Lab Supervisor
- Learn the proper operation of the Nordson Encore spray gun, curing ovens including routine maintenance.
- Possess the ability to adapt spraying technique and gun settings for various powder coating types.
- Achieve base level spray out goals.
Marginal Job Functions:
- Effectively communicate equipment or powder concerns to the QC Lab Supervisor.
- Occasional assistance in the swatch production as needed.
- Routinely clean work area to avoid contamination issues.
Skills and Abilities Required:
- Strong communication skills are imperative
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy of work.
- Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Must pass a respirator fit test.
