Local family-owned business in Fraiser’s Bottom is looking to fill a position for a Blender. As a blender you would be responsible for loading specific ingredients in certain orders to prepare recipes that would then be tested and approved. If you are looking for a fresh start with a great schedule this is the position that you are looking for.
Responsibilities
- Ingredient Preparation & Scaling: Accurately measure, weigh, and stage raw ingredients, powders, or liquids based on batch sheets and client/lab formulas.
- Equipment Operation: Operate and monitor industrial blending and mixing machinery to ensure proper consistency, texture, and blend quality.
- Quality Control & Testing: Conduct checks during the mixing process and coordinate with lab testing or quality assurance staff to verify product standards before packaging.
- Sanitation & Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning, sanitization, and basic troubleshooting of blending equipment to prevent contamination.
- Data Recording: Accurately log batch numbers, ingredient usage, weights, and production data for compliance and inventory tracking.
Requirements & Physical Demands
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in food manufacturing, mixing, or production environments.
- Ability to read and follow complex batch recipes and accurately add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs. (such as heavy bags of ingredients), frequently standing, walking, bending, and reaching for the duration of the shift.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced food production environment, adhering to strict food safety, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and hygiene regulations.
- Observe all PPE requirements
This position is evaluation to hire. Monday - Thursday 7am- 5:30pm. The starting pay for this position is $13/ hr.
