Responsibilities
- Install and maintain various types of piping systems, including drainage, sewer, and water lines.
- Excavate trenches and prepare sites for pipe installation.
- Ensure proper alignment and grade of pipes during installation.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project timelines are met.
- Conduct regular inspections of installed systems to ensure functionality and compliance with regulations.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist in the training of junior staff and apprentices as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant vocational training is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Pipe Layer or similar role in construction.
- Strong knowledge of pipe installation techniques and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent physical stamina and strength; ability to lift heavy materials.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
