Job Title: Concrete Finisher
Position Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and dependable Concrete Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for placing, finishing, protecting, and repairing concrete on a variety of construction projects. This role requires precision, physical stamina, and a strong understanding of concrete techniques and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set forms and prepare surfaces for concrete placement.
- Pour, spread, and level concrete using hand and power tools.
- Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete using floats, trowels, and screeds.
- Apply curing compounds and sealants to protect finished concrete.
- Cut joints into concrete to control cracking.
- Repair and patch damaged concrete surfaces.
- Ensure proper alignment, depth, and grade of concrete structures.
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Concrete Finisher or similar role.
- Knowledge of concrete properties, finishing techniques, and construction safety standards.
- Ability to read blueprints and follow technical instructions.
- Skilled in using finishing tools and machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training is a plus.
