Job Title: Hospital Biller

Position Summary:
The Hospital Biller is responsible for preparing and submitting accurate billing data and medical claims for hospital and physician services. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and payer-specific guidelines, and plays a key part in the revenue cycle by resolving billing issues and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of insurance regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Billing & Claims Submission:

  • Prepare and submit hospital and physician billing data and medical claims to insurance companies.
  • Ensure all submissions comply with federal, state, and payer-mandated guidelines.

• Invoice Preparation:

  • Generate and distribute bills and invoices for services rendered.

• Denial & Rejection Management:

  • Investigate and resolve billing denials and claim rejections.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and insurance providers to correct and resubmit claims.

• Compliance & Training:

  • Complete training on payer-specific rules and regulations.
  • Stay current with changes in billing procedures and insurance requirements.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or certification in medical billing preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in hospital or physician billing.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT/ICD coding, and insurance guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
