Job Title: Inventory Control I
Department: Warehouse Operations

 

The Inventory Control I position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records through daily cycle counts, reconciliation of discrepancies, and verification of storage areas. This role plays a critical part in ensuring inventory integrity and supporting warehouse operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • ABC Cycle Counting:
    Execute daily ABC cycle counts in accordance with the established schedule and procedures to ensure accuracy of on-hand inventory.

  • Lost and Found Reporting:
    Investigate and document lost/found inventory, determine root causes, and work with relevant departments to resolve discrepancies.

  • Pending Adjustments:
    Review and process pending inventory adjustments accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring supporting documentation is complete.

  • Rack Verification:
    Conduct regular rack verification audits to confirm product placement and inventory accuracy within racking systems.

  • Pick Hold Resolution:
    Investigate and resolve pick hold issues by identifying inventory errors or system discrepancies affecting order fulfillment.

  • Shelf Life Extension Labels:
    Generate and apply shelf life extension labels according to company policies and quality standards, ensuring compliance with expiration guidelines.


Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • 1+ year experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or related field preferred.

  • Basic understanding of inventory systems (WMS experience a plus).

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other inventory management tools.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform warehouse duties.
