Job Full Description
Position Summary:
The Press Operator is chosen for his/her performance and knowledge of production operations. The person chosen for this position leads by example, pays attention to detail, follows instructions and assists the Manufacturing Manager with all production items.
Essential Job Functions:
- Proper use of equipment.
- Accurate reading and following of work order instructions.
- Recording part counts, lot, batch and cure (if applicable) and scrap amounts.
- Tooling loading, use and storage as well as identification.
- Proper packaging (i.e., protect materials throughout handling and shipping).
- Proper labeling of product (how many labels and label content-P/N, Qty, Lot, etc.).
- Equipment preventative maintenance (if requested and trained to perform).
- Ryobi and other customer cycle counts.
- Identification and communication of waste during fabrication.
- Storage and identification of raw material stock.
- Recording of labor for parts produced.
- Clean up of shop area- responsibilities.
- Record run parameters.
- Follow safety protocol in your area.
- Contribute to production feasibility meetings (if requested).
