Job Full Description
Commercial, Residential, Remodel and Service.New installation and/or repairs of any Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, solar and Central Vacuum systems, Flashings, Hoods, Chimney Caps and Ornamental sheet metal fabricating.
Evaluation to Hire - Mon - Friday 7 am - 5 pm
$20 - $30 an hour - depending on experience
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
- Measure, mark, and layout materials for fabrication.
- Cut, bend, punch, drill, and shape sheet metal using manual and automated equipment.
- Assemble fabricated metal parts and components to required specifications.
- Operate fabrication equipment including press brakes, shears, rollers, saws, and welding equipment.
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards and dimensional accuracy.
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections on tools and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and deadlines.
- Identify and report material defects, equipment issues, or safety concerns.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous sheet metal fabrication experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and measuring tools.
- Experience operating fabrication machinery and hand tools.
- Basic math skills, including measurements and fractions.
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Welding experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
- Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing or shop environment.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Work Environment
- Manufacturing, fabrication, or production facility.
- Exposure to noise, dust, machinery, and varying temperatures.
