Job Full Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and flexible Substitute Teacher to support our ESE (Exceptional Student Education) and ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) programs. This role involves providing instructional support and classroom management in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring continuity in the educational experience for students with diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver lesson plans and instructional activities developed by the regular teacher or school administration.

Support the learning needs of students with disabilities (ESE) and English language learners (ESOL).

Implement IEP (Individualized Education Plan) and ELL (English Language Learner) accommodations as needed.

Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.

Maintain classroom routines, procedures, and expectations to ensure a safe and respectful learning environment.

Monitor student progress and provide feedback as appropriate.

Collaborate with support staff and other educators as needed.
Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or equivalent (required); Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (preferred).

Prior experience working with ESE and/or ESOL students is strongly preferred.

Valid substitute teaching certification or eligibility (per district requirements).

Strong communication and classroom management skills.

Ability to adapt to various teaching environments and student needs.
