Job Summary: We are currently seeking a dynamic individual for the position of Assistant Pallet Supervisor in Lakeland, FL. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2-3 years of supervisory experience or a strong background in pallet manufacturing who is ready to take on increased responsibilities. The Assistant Pallet Supervisor will work closely with the Pallet Supervisor to ensure smooth operations, manage a team, and contribute to the overall success of the shipping and receiving department.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the Pallet Supervisor in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the shipping and receiving department.
  2. Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient production and timely shipping of wood pallets.
  3. Provide guidance and support to a team of employees, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  4. Assist in scheduling production activities and coordinating shipping manifests.
  5. Promote and enforce safety protocols to create a secure work environment.
  6. Collaborate with the Pallet Supervisor to manage inventory levels and conduct regular stock checks.
  7. Support employee development by providing training and constructive feedback.
  8. Assist in implementing process improvements to enhance overall departmental efficiency.
  9. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  1. 2-3 years of supervisory experience or relevant experience in pallet manufacturing.
  2. Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to effectively manage a team.
  3. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet production and shipping deadlines.
  4. Knowledge of safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  5. Basic understanding of inventory management processes.
  6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  7. Detail-oriented with problem-solving abilities.
  8. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
  9. Proficient in relevant computer applications and software.
