Job Summary: We are currently seeking a dynamic individual for the position of Assistant Pallet Supervisor in Lakeland, FL. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2-3 years of supervisory experience or a strong background in pallet manufacturing who is ready to take on increased responsibilities. The Assistant Pallet Supervisor will work closely with the Pallet Supervisor to ensure smooth operations, manage a team, and contribute to the overall success of the shipping and receiving department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Pallet Supervisor in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the shipping and receiving department.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient production and timely shipping of wood pallets.
- Provide guidance and support to a team of employees, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist in scheduling production activities and coordinating shipping manifests.
- Promote and enforce safety protocols to create a secure work environment.
- Collaborate with the Pallet Supervisor to manage inventory levels and conduct regular stock checks.
- Support employee development by providing training and constructive feedback.
- Assist in implementing process improvements to enhance overall departmental efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of supervisory experience or relevant experience in pallet manufacturing.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to effectively manage a team.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet production and shipping deadlines.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Basic understanding of inventory management processes.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
- Proficient in relevant computer applications and software.
