Job Summary: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual for the position of Mill Supervisor in Lakeland, FL. The Mill Supervisor will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our milling processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are consistently met. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of mill operators to achieve production goals and maintain high-quality standards.
- Oversee milling operations, ensuring the efficient processing of wood materials to meet production requirements.
- Collaborate with production planning to schedule milling activities, optimizing workflow and resource utilization.
- Enforce safety protocols and promote a culture of safety within the mill department.
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials, coordinating with procurement as needed.
- Train and develop team members, providing guidance and constructive feedback.
- Implement and improve standard operating procedures to enhance overall mill efficiency.
- Collaborate with other supervisors and departments to streamline cross-functional processes.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a wood milling or manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of milling processes, equipment, and wood materials.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and enforcing safety regulations.
- Proficient in inventory management and basic understanding of procurement processes.
- Problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with relevant computer applications and software.

Key Responsibilities:
- Family Consultation: Meet with families to discuss and arrange funeral details, including service types, locations, personalization options, and financial considerations.
- Service Coordination: Plan and direct funeral services, ensuring seamless logistics, scheduling, and collaboration with clergy, musicians, and other service providers.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all services comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including obtaining necessary permits and legal documentation.
- Preparation of Remains: Oversee the preparation, embalming, and respectful handling of remains in accordance with family wishes and legal requirements.
- Administrative Duties: Manage funeral home operations, maintain records, process financial transactions, and oversee inventory of necessary supplies.
- Community Engagement: Represent the funeral home in the community, fostering relationships and promoting available services.
Qualifications:
- Valid Funeral Director license in the state of practice.
