We’re seeking a skilled and motivated A&P Mechanic who’s passionate about aviation maintenance and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Join a growing aviation academy where your expertise with piston-powered aircraft directly supports the training of tomorrow’s pilots!

About the Role:

As an Aviation Maintenance Technician, you’ll perform inspections, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repairs on a fleet of piston-powered flight training aircraft. We’re looking for a hands-on professional with a positive attitude, strong technical skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

What You’ll Own:

  • Maintenance & Repair: Perform efficient troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on aircraft including Cessna 150/152, Cessna 172, and Piper PA-34.

  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all maintenance work complies with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), manufacturer guidelines, and internal standards. Maintain accurate logbook entries, computer records, and necessary documentation.

  • Parts Management: Assist with sourcing and procuring necessary parts for maintenance activities.

  • Safety & Standards: Follow all policies and procedures, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and perform duties with a constant focus on safety.

  • Team Collaboration: Contribute to a positive team culture while ensuring operational excellence.

What You Bring:

  • Minimum Requirements:

    • Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate

    • Minimum 6 months of hands-on piston aircraft maintenance experience

    • Solid understanding of FARs and manufacturer maintenance manuals

  • Preferred Skills:

    • FAA Inspection Authorization (IA)

    • Private Pilot’s License (a plus)

    • Experience with avionics troubleshooting (a plus)

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to squat, kneel, bend, and climb ladders frequently.

  • Must be able to lift/carry items over 50 pounds.

  • Maneuver within confined spaces and remain physically active for extended periods.

  • Ability to climb into/out of aircraft and operate tools and equipment with precision.
