Job Details

The Precision Assembler will be responsible for assembling turbine pumps using hand and power tools as required. The position will also support shop functions, including shipping/receiving, inventory, and maintenance.

• Shift/schedule: 1st, M-F 7:30A-4:30P with some OT (~30 min daily) as needed
• PPE Required: Steel toe shoes, gloves and standard safety glasses also provided
• Location: Lakeland, Florida 33801

Responsibilities & Requirements:

The Assembler will be responsible for working Safely and adhering to all safety protocols. The accurate assembly of vertical turbine pumps using various hand and power tools required. In addition, this position will support general shop functions including shipping, receiving, inventory management and shop maintenance in a warehouse environment.

Required experience and skills include: 

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Reading and writing English
• Experience using tape measures and reading measurements accurately up to 1/16th of an inch
• 1+ year prior manufacturing or applied mechanical experience
• Capable of reading shop paperwork and managing inventory by numerical part numbers and locations
• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work with little supervision
• Ability to carry out precise instructions with an acute attention to detail
• Work in a team environment
• Must be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to certify to operate a forklift

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Previous assembly of vertical turbine pumps is a plus
• Forklift certification preferred
• Experience with precision measuring tools preferred
