We’re on the hunt for a sharp, detail-obsessed Credit Assistant to help drive the credit and collections function forward. If you enjoy digging into the details, solving puzzles, and keeping people accountable in a professional way, this could be your lane.

About the Role:
This is a fast-moving support role reporting directly to the Credit Manager. You’ll work closely with customers and internal teams to manage accounts, investigate discrepancies, process payments, and handle credit documentation. You'll also assist in protecting company receivables through timely legal filings, account reconciliation, and credit data management.

What You'll Do:

  • Support customers via phone and email with questions about payments, credits, and account updates

  • Update customer records and maintain clean data in the ERP system

  • Assist with daily collection calls and communicate clearly regarding outstanding balances

  • Reconcile accounts, address misapplied cash, and resolve discrepancies

  • Prepare and file notices to owners, lien releases, and other legal documents

  • Pull and interpret credit reports for new and existing accounts

  • Help maintain and organize credit and customer files

  • Review invoices for accuracy and ensure correct tax is charged

  • Provide backup support for the receptionist when needed

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Prior administrative or credit experience (experience in construction, project management, or distribution is a strong plus)

  • Comfortable reviewing credit reports and working with financial data

  • Familiarity with Florida Lien Law, including notices to owners and release documents

  • Experience with customer service, collections, and ERP systems

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred

  • Valid Driver’s License

The Right Fit:
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships while maintaining structure and accountability. You’re someone who takes ownership, works well under pressure, and thrives in a busy but collaborative environment. If you know how to chase down the details and bring clarity to complex situations, you’ll do well here.
