Maintenance Technician – Produce Packing Facility
Location: Lake Wales
Employment Type: Full-Time
Shift: 8:00am to 5:30pm
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to support the daily operations of our produce packing facility. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing automated industrial equipment to ensure maximum uptime, safety, and production efficiency.
The ideal candidate has strong experience with both electrical and mechanical systems, including pneumatic components, and a proven background in maintaining industrial equipment—preferably within a food processing or manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of automated equipment, conveyors, and facility machinery.

Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime.

Conduct preventive maintenance in alignment with established schedules.

Support continuous improvement efforts to optimize equipment reliability and efficiency.

Maintain accurate maintenance logs, records, and work orders.

Collaborate with production staff to quickly resolve equipment issues and ensure smooth operations.

Adhere to all safety, quality, and food safety standards.
Qualifications

Experience: 3+ years of industrial maintenance or equivalent technical training.

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, and motor controls.

Mechanical aptitude with conveyors, pumps, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

Preferred: Prior experience in a food processing or manufacturing facility.

Strong troubleshooting ability and problem-solving mindset.
