Diesel Technician / Heavy Equipment Mechanic

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Diesel Technician to join our team and play a critical role in maintaining and repairing diesel engines, trucks, and other heavy-duty equipment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience, strong diagnostic abilities, and the drive to keep our fleet running safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines and vehicles

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engine malfunctions

Conduct inspections to identify worn or damaged components

Utilize hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment for repairs

Weld and fabricate parts as needed

Repair and maintain air brake systems

Service and troubleshoot HVAC systems within vehicles

Follow industry-standard automotive repair procedures
Qualifications

Proven experience in diesel engine repair

Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks

Knowledge of forklifts, farm machinery, and heavy equipment highly preferred

Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment

Familiarity with automotive repair standards and best practices

Experience with air brake systems strongly preferred
