Job Summary
This position is responsible for safely handling, storing, and moving construction materials throughout the warehouse and yard while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting daily operations. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a warehouse environment, preferably within the welding, steel, or construction materials industry.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and products
- Pull, stage, and prepare orders for shipment
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts and overhead cranes
- Operate overhead and gantry cranes safely and efficiently
- Take and interpret measurements accurately to ensure order accuracy
- Maintain inventory organization and warehouse cleanliness
- Assist with material handling in both indoor warehouse and outdoor yard environments
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Perform general warehouse duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse experience required; experience in the welding, steel, or construction materials industry preferred
- Experience operating overhead and gantry cranes required
- Experience operating forklifts required (2 Years Minimum)
- Current forklift certification preferred
- Ability to take and interpret measurements accurately
- Welding experience is highly desirable
- Must have reliable transportation
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials throughout the shift
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
- Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments, including an open-air yard
