Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable General Building Maintenance Technician in Lakeland to handle routine repairs, work orders, and general upkeep of buildings and property areas. This position requires basic maintenance skills, reliability, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general building repairs and maintenance.
- Handle basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, fixture, and hardware repairs.
- Respond to maintenance requests and complete work orders in a timely manner.
- Inspect buildings and common areas for repair or safety concerns.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas.
- Communicate repair needs, supply needs, and completed work to supervisors.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
Requirements
- Previous building, facility, apartment, or general maintenance experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repairs.
- Must have basic tools.
- Clean background check required.
- Must be dependable and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to lift, bend, climb, stand, walk, and perform physical maintenance duties.
Schedule
Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM, with rotating on-call.
Pay Rate
$20.00 – $30.00 per hour, depending on experience.
