Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Automotive Painter to join our collision repair team. The ideal candidate takes pride in producing high-quality finishes, has experience with vehicle preparation and paint application, and thrives in a fast-paced body shop environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, masking, cleaning, and priming.
- Mix paint to manufacturer specifications and accurately match vehicle colors.
- Apply primer, base coat, and clear coat using professional spray equipment.
- Inspect painted surfaces for quality and correct imperfections through buffing or polishing.
- Maintain paint booth cleanliness and follow all safety procedures.
- Collaborate with body technicians to meet production schedules.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and paint inventory.
Qualifications
- Previous automotive painting experience in a collision repair or body shop.
- Knowledge of paint preparation, refinishing, and color matching.
- Experience using spray guns and paint booth equipment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Preferred Experience
- Waterborne or solvent-based paint systems.
- Collision repair environment.
- Buffing and polishing experience.
- I-CAR or OEM training is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Stand for extended periods.
- Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Work safely while wearing required PPE.
