We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Welding Shop Helper to join a busy production team in Lakeland. This is a hands-on position supporting welders with the assembly of chain link fence panels and other general shop duties.
The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent attendance, be comfortable working with their hands, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist welders with daily production and assembly tasks.
- Attach chain link fabric to fence frames and secure it with wire ties.
- Read and use a tape measure accurately.
- Prepare and organize materials for production.
- Move materials and finished products throughout the shop.
- Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized.
- Follow all safety procedures and company standards.
- Perform other general labor duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Reliable attendance is required.
- Ability to quickly and accurately read a tape measure.
- Comfortable working with hand tools and performing hands-on tasks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Comfortable working in Florida heat and varying weather conditions.
- Able to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Previous manufacturing, warehouse, construction, welding, or shop experience is a plus, but not required.
Schedule & Pay
- Full-Time
- Monday through Friday (with occasional Saturdays), 7:30am to 4pm (with occasional overtime as needed)
- $16.00 per hour
- Lakeland, FL
