Position Summary
Operate a metal band saw to accurately cut structural steel, pipe, tubing, and other raw materials according to shop drawings and production specifications. Material handling with a forklift and accurate measurements are essential to support fabrication operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a metal band saw to cut structural steel, plate, pipe, and tubing to specification.
- Read work orders, shop drawings, and measuring tape to ensure accurate cuts.
- Load, unload, and move materials using a forklift.
- Inspect material dimensions and maintain quality standards.
- Keep work area clean and follow all safety procedures.
