Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join a well-established, family-owned heating and air conditioning company serving Central Florida for over 30 years. This position is ideal for a skilled technician with experience servicing both residential and light commercial HVAC systems. Essential Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance and seasonal tune-ups.
- Able to represent company accordingly.
- Inspect equipment and recommend repair or replacement options when appropriate.
- Perform refrigerant diagnostics, leak detection, and system charging.
- Read wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and manufacturer specifications.
- Complete accurate service documentation and communicate findings with customers.
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory.
- Follow all company safety procedures and industry standards.
- Participate in an on-call rotation as needed.
Minimum Knowledge & Skills Required
- Minimum 5 years of residential and commercial HVAC service experience.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Working knowledge of refrigeration cycles, airflow, electrical controls, and HVAC system performance.
- Ability to diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant-related issues.
- EPA Certification required.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Valid Florida Driver License with a clean driving record.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- NATE Certification preferred.
- Experience with rooftop units (RTUs).
- Experience servicing all major HVAC brands.
- Preventative maintenance experience.
- Heat pump and gas furnace experience.
- Light commercial service experience.
