Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable Quality Control Technician to support quality standards, testing procedures, documentation, and product inspections in a manufacturing environment. This position works under the direction of the Production Supervisor and/or Quality Manager to help ensure raw materials, in-process materials, finished goods, and production processes meet internal quality standards, customer expectations, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct routine and non-routine testing of raw materials, in-process materials, environmental samples, and finished goods.
- Perform and document dry and wet tile testing according to the quality control plan.
- Monitor product quality during extrusion, stacking, production, and yard storage.
- Perform frequent visual inspections of wet-side processes and finished goods.
- Identify product quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor color consistency and help reduce color variation in the manufacturing process.
- Issue and control color formulas to ensure accuracy on the production floor.
- Maintain and verify color visual standards.
- Complete required quality documentation, data entry, equipment logbooks, testing forms, and inventory forms.
- Log testing results into SAP and release finished goods according to the control plan.
- Report product exceptions according to non-conforming material procedures.
- Calibrate, validate, and maintain laboratory and quality assurance equipment.
- Print and verify pallet labels.
- Conduct monthly pallet audits to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the lab and work areas.
- Assist with troubleshooting, testing, calibration, organization, and project-related quality tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Training or certification in a relevant skill or trade preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience in quality control, manufacturing, laboratory testing, production, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, equipment manuals, and company procedures.
- Basic math and computer skills required.
- Experience with SAP or similar systems preferred.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English; bilingual Spanish is helpful.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation accuracy.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and learn quickly.
- Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity required.
- Ability to observe, identify, troubleshoot, and report equipment or product issues.
- Regular attendance, timeliness, and scheduling flexibility required.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment
- Ability to stand or remain stationary for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, twist, lift, move, and transport items up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.
- Ability to move throughout the facility as needed.
- Must be able to work around dust, chemicals, noise, temperature extremes, and other manufacturing conditions.
- Must wear required personal protective equipment, including hearing protection, eye protection, and hard hat as required.
Schedule
Monday – Friday, 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM. Schedule may require occasional shift changes and overtime depending on customer needs.
Pay Rate
$19.50 – $21.00 per hour, based on experience.
