Security Gate Guard – Warehouse Facility
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Shift: Day Shift
Position: Security Gate Guard / Gate Attendant
Job Description
We are currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Security Gate Guard to assist with monitoring and controlling access to a busy warehouse facility.
This position is responsible for checking in incoming and outgoing trucks, maintaining accurate records, verifying driver information, and ensuring proper facility entry and exit procedures are followed.
The ideal candidate will have basic computer skills, strong attention to detail, and previous experience checking in trucks or monitoring facility access.
Key Responsibilities

Monitor and control vehicle and personnel access at the facility entrance and exit.

Check in and check out incoming and outgoing trucks and delivery drivers.

Verify driver information, delivery documentation, and vehicle details.

Maintain accurate records of truck arrivals, departures, and facility activity.

Use basic computer systems to enter and track information.

Perform basic mathematical calculations and verify documentation when needed.

Communicate professionally with truck drivers, warehouse personnel, and supervisors.

Follow established security procedures and report any unusual or unauthorized activity.

Assist with physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting, when required.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe gatehouse or assigned work area.

Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements

Previous gate guard, security, truck check-in, or warehouse experience preferred.

Basic computer skills and ability to accurately enter information.

Basic math skills.

Experience checking in trucks and verifying delivery information preferred.

Must be dependable, reliable, and punctual.

Strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and follow established procedures.

Must be comfortable interacting with truck drivers and facility personnel.

Must be flexible to cover night shifts when needed.
Physical Requirements

Must be able to stand for up to 12 hours per shift.

Ability to perform heavy lifting when required.

Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.

Comfortable working in an active warehouse and transportation environment.

Ability to remain attentive and alert throughout long shifts.
