Job Full Description
We are hiring an HVAC Service Technician to join our service team. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician who enjoys troubleshooting, customer interaction, and steady year-round work.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and commercial HVAC systems
- Perform low and high voltage electrical troubleshooting
- Handle refrigerants in compliance with EPA standards
- Complete preventative maintenance and service calls
- Sell and install indoor air quality (IAQ) products when appropriate
- Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation as scheduled
Required Qualifications
- 2–5+ years of hands-on HVAC service experience
- Active EPA 608 certification
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills (low and high voltage)
- Ability to diagnose systems independently and complete repairs correctly the first time
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass background and pre-employment screening
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Comfortable working in attics, crawlspaces, rooftops, and confined spaces
- Able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to climb ladders, kneel, bend, and stand for extended periods
Tools & Equipment
- Company-provided tools and service vehicle (for qualifying positions)
- Use of standard HVAC hand tools, meters, gauges, recovery machines, and ladders
Schedule & Travel
Full-time, year-round employment
Local daily travel within the Champaign–Urbana area
After-hours/on-call rotation required
