Job Title: Customer Service Representative

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our insurance team. This role is responsible for assisting policyholders with inquiries, processing policy changes, resolving concerns, and providing accurate information about insurance products and services. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
· Respond to inbound calls, emails, and chat inquiries from policyholders and prospective clients
· Explain coverage details, policy terms, billing information, and claims procedures
· Process policy updates, renewals, cancellations, and endorsements accurately
· Assist customers with premium payments and billing questions
· Document all customer interactions in the company’s CRM system
· Escalate complex issues or complaints to supervisors when necessary
· Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and sales teams to ensure timely service
· Maintain knowledge of company products, industry regulations, and compliance requirements
· Identify opportunities to cross-sell or upsell additional coverage when appropriate
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
· 1–3 years of customer service experience (insurance industry experience preferred)
· Insurance license (or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe)
Skills & Competencies:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
· Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
· Problem-solving mindset with the ability to remain calm under pressure
· Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment
· Office-based
· May require occasional evening shifts.
· Performance metrics may include call handling time, customer satisfaction scores, and accuracy rates
Compensation & Benefits
· Competitive salary and benefits based on experience, range $17.00/hr-$20.00/hr
