Job Title: TIG Welder

Location: Champaign, IL
Pay: $20–$30 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join a growing team in Champaign, IL. This role involves performing precision TIG welding on a variety of metals while ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to safety procedures. The ideal candidate has experience working with stainless steel, aluminum, and other thin-gauge materials and can read blueprints and fabrication drawings.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding on stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals according to specifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings

• Prepare materials for welding including cleaning, grinding, and fitting components

• Inspect welds to ensure strength, quality, and compliance with specifications

• Set up and operate welding equipment, including TIG welders and related tools

• Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety protocols

• Work closely with fabrication and production teams to complete projects on time

• Perform minor finishing work such as grinding, polishing, or deburring as needed

Qualifications

• 2+ years of TIG welding experience preferred

• Experience welding stainless steel and/or aluminum

• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

• Ability to use hand tools, grinders, and measuring tools

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Welding certification (AWS or similar)

• Experience in fabrication or custom metal work

• Familiarity with other welding processes such as MIG welding
