3G MIG/TIG Welder (Production/Fabrication)
Location: Champaign, IL
Job Type: Direct Hire
Pay: $24–$28+/hr (DOE)
Schedule: Full-Time | Overtime Available
Position Overview
We’re hiring skilled MIG/TIG welders who can step into a production environment and deliver clean, consistent welds. This is a direct hire opportunity with a company that values precision, speed, and quality.
If you can read blueprints, pass a weld test, and hold your own in 3G (or higher)... this could be a great career!
What You’ll Do
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on steel, stainless, and aluminum
- Complete 3G welds or higher based on project requirements
- Read and work from blueprints and weld symbols
- Measure and verify parts using calipers, micrometers, and tape measures
- Inspect finished welds to ensure quality and spec compliance
- Support fabrication processes including fitting and layout
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years TIG welding (required)
- MIG welding experience (strongly preferred)
- Ability to pass a written + hands-on weld test (3G or higher required)
- Experience in fabrication and/or sheet metal environments
- Strong understanding of blueprints and tolerances
- Solid mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Work Environment
- Manufacturing shop setting
- Exposure to noise, dust, and moving equipment
- PPE required at all times
- Physical role: standing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs
