CDL Driver (Local Routes)
Job Summary
We are seeking reliable and safety-focused CDL Drivers for local driving positions. This role is responsible for transporting materials and goods safely and efficiently while ensuring compliance with all DOT regulations. Ideal candidates will have strong driving experience, a clean driving record, and a commitment to on-time deliveries and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles to transport goods and materials on local routes
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
- Load and unload materials as required, ensuring proper securement of cargo
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation in compliance with DOT regulations
- Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members
- Ensure timely deliveries and pickups while maintaining a high level of professionalism
- Report any mechanical issues or delays promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned vehicle
Qualifications
- Valid CDL (Class A or B depending on position)
- Clean driving record and commitment to safety
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Previous driving experience preferred (but entry-level candidates may be considered)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and assist with loading/unloading if required
- Strong time management and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with dump trucks, box trucks, or tractor-trailers
- Familiarity with local routes and delivery areas
- Forklift or material handling experience
- Tanker or other endorsements (a plus)
Work Environment
- Local driving routes with daily home time

Compensation & Schedule
- $18-25/hr
