Position Overview
Hiring Industrial Maintenance Technicians and Line Technicians for manufacturing facilities in the Champaign-Urbana and Rantoul area. These roles focus on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment in fast-paced industrial environments. Openings range from entry-level mechanically inclined candidates to experienced maintenance technicians with electrical and PLC troubleshooting experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot industrial machinery and production equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance (PMs)
- Repair conveyors, motors, gearboxes, bearings, chains, belts, and rollers
- Troubleshoot hydraulics, pneumatics, sensors, relays, contactors, and drives
- Support packaging lines, production lines, and automated equipment
- Perform machine setups, adjustments, and changeovers
- Respond to equipment downtime and emergency repairs
- Complete maintenance documentation and work orders
- Assist with installations and continuous improvement projects
- Maintain safe work practices in a manufacturing environment
Qualifications
- Industrial maintenance, machine maintenance, maintenance mechanic, automotive mechanic or line technician experience required
- Manufacturing, production, packaging, food production, or industrial experience helpful
- Mechanical troubleshooting experience required
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools
- Strong attendance and reliability
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work overtime as needed
- Comfortable working in hot, dusty, loud, or fast-paced manufacturing environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Electrical troubleshooting
- PLC troubleshooting
- 120V / 480V experience
- Hydraulics and pneumatics
- Conveyor maintenance
- Welding or fabrication experience
- Preventative maintenance experience
- Technical school or maintenance certifications
- Forklift, scissor lift, or manlift experience
