Express Employment Professionals is hiring a 1st Shift Industrial Maintenance Technician for a plastic bottle manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for preventive maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and repairs throughout a fast-paced production operation.
Experience with blow molding, extrusion, or other plastic manufacturing equipment is highly valuable. The right technician will be mechanically strong, comfortable with electrical troubleshooting, and able to respond quickly when equipment goes down.
What You Will Do
- Perform preventive maintenance on production and facility equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment failures
- Repair blow molding, extrusion, conveying, and related production machinery
- Replace worn components and complete scheduled equipment repairs
- Diagnose recurring problems and recommend corrective action
- Support equipment changeovers, adjustments, and production startups
- Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely
- Document completed work and communicate outstanding repair needs
- Maintain a clean and organized maintenance work area
- Follow plant safety and lockout/tagout procedures
What We Are Looking For
- Previous industrial maintenance or manufacturing equipment repair experience
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting ability
- Working knowledge of industrial electrical components
- Experience with blow molding, extrusion, plastics, or packaging equipment is preferred
- Ability to read basic equipment diagrams and maintenance instructions
- Dependability and strong response during production breakdowns
- Availability for 1st shift
