Express Employment Professionals is hiring an Affordable Housing Property Maintenance Technician. This position handles work orders, unit turns, repairs, and property upkeep across residential housing locations.
Candidates must have a reliable personal vehicle, valid driver’s license, and their own tools. Previous Section 8, public housing, affordable housing, or multifamily maintenance experience is strongly preferred.
What You Will Do
- Complete maintenance work orders in occupied housing units
- Prepare vacant units for inspection and new occupancy
- Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and painting repairs
- Repair doors, locks, fixtures, hardware, and damaged property components
- Troubleshoot appliances and building systems based on experience
- Inspect units and document maintenance conditions
- Travel between assigned properties using a personal vehicle
- Track completed work, materials, and unresolved repair needs
- Communicate respectfully with residents and housing staff
- Follow property access, safety, and documentation procedures
What We Are Looking For
- Professional property, apartment, residential, or building maintenance experience
- Reliable personal vehicle
- Valid driver’s license
- Personal set of maintenance tools
- Ability to perform repairs across several basic trades
- Section 8, affordable housing, or public housing experience is a plus
- Ability to work independently and organize daily assignments
- Professional judgment when entering and working in occupied homes
