Turn Your Woodworking Experience Into a Rare Craft

A small specialty shop is looking for an experienced Woodworker to help build handcrafted pipe organs. This is not rough carpentry, framing, or general construction. We are looking for someone who genuinely understands woodworking, uses tools with control, and takes pride in detailed craftsmanship.

Previous woodworking experience is strongly preferred, but it does not have to come exclusively from a professional woodworking job. Experience gained through vocational training or substantial personal projects may qualify a serious hobbyist for consideration.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and assemble wooden components used in handcrafted pipe organs
  • Measure, cut, shape, fit, sand, and assemble materials according to project specifications
  • Use woodworking equipment, hand tools, and power tools
  • Follow drawings, measurements, and detailed work instructions
  • Maintain accuracy and craftsmanship throughout each project
  • Learn specialized techniques unique to pipe organ construction
  • Work closely with a small, experienced team

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous hands-on woodworking experience
  • Proven comfort using woodworking equipment, hand tools, and power tools
  • Strong measuring skills and close attention to detail
  • Ability to produce clean, accurate work from drawings and specifications
  • Patience and pride in completing detailed projects correctly
  • Willingness to learn an uncommon and highly specialized craft
  • Dependability and the ability to work successfully within a small team
  • A respectful, professional approach to projects completed for churches and faith-based organizations

Experience with cabinetmaking, furniture building, millwork, finish woodworking, musical instrument construction, or substantial hobby woodworking may transfer especially well. Applicants are encouraged to share photos or examples of completed projects.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

  • Build a unique product that combines woodworking, craftsmanship, and music
  • Learn specialized skills that few woodworkers have the opportunity to develop
  • Work with a small team where your contribution is visible
  • Potential for continued growth and future travel opportunities
  • Occasional overtime opportunities based on project needs
  • Opportunity to transition directly onto the company’s team after a successful introductory period
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Weekly pay
  • Referral bonus
