Keep Production Running on First Shift
A plastics manufacturer is hiring an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician with strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills. This is a hands-on maintenance position responsible for diagnosing equipment problems, completing repairs, and keeping production machinery operating reliably.
Previous plastic molding-machine experience is preferred, but it is not required. Candidates with solid industrial maintenance experience and a strong mechanical background may be considered. PLC knowledge and electrical troubleshooting experience are valuable additional strengths.
What You’ll Do
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems on production and molding equipment
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and identify the source of failures
- Complete preventive maintenance on manufacturing machinery
- Repair, replace, and adjust mechanical components
- Support electrical diagnostics and PLC-related troubleshooting based on experience
- Use equipment manuals, diagrams, and technical information to complete repairs
- Document completed maintenance and communicate equipment concerns
- Work with production employees to reduce downtime and restore equipment operation
- Maintain an organized personal toolbox and work area
What We’re Looking For
- Previous industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and hands-on repair ability
- Experience maintaining plastic molding machinery preferred
- PLC knowledge or industrial electrical troubleshooting experience strongly preferred
- Ability to diagnose equipment failures instead of simply replacing parts
- Dependable availability for the full first-shift schedule and overtime as needed
- Ability to work independently and prioritize active equipment issues
