Harvest General Laborer – Seasonal
Job Type: Temporary / Seasonal Contract
Pay: $15.00 per hour + Overtime Opportunities
Position Summary
We are seeking dependable and safety-conscious Harvest General Laborers to support grain receiving and handling operations during the busy harvest season. This is a hands-on, physically active position ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment and are interested in earning additional income through overtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the safe and efficient unloading of grain trucks.
- Operate and monitor the grain dump pit and receiving operations.
- Monitor grain flow and assist with grain handling activities.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas by sweeping, shoveling grain, and removing debris.
- Assist with grain handling equipment and other operational duties as needed.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and your team.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support harvest operations.
Qualifications
- Dependable and punctual with a strong attendance record.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Safety-conscious approach to all job responsibilities.
- Ability to work extended hours during peak harvest periods.
- Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
- Previous agricultural, warehouse, manufacturing, or grain-handling experience is a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb stairs, and use ladders throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working around grain dust, moving machinery, elevated platforms, and varying outdoor conditions.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks safely and efficiently for extended periods.
Schedule
Typical Schedule:
- Monday–Saturday: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
- Sunday: 12:00 PM–5:00 PM
Overtime is expected and may be available during peak harvest periods.
