Job Full Description
We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining processes, with expertise in manual and CNC programming and precision measuring instruments. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can read blueprints and work with various machining tools to produce high-quality components.
Responsibilities
- Operate MANUAL and CNC lathes and milling machines to produce precision parts according to specifications.
- Program and set up CNC machines, ensuring optimal performance and accuracy.
- Utilize CAD software, such as Mastercam, for designing parts and assemblies.
- Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T specifications, and technical drawings.
- Perform regular maintenance on machinery to ensure operational efficiency.
- Use precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify part dimensions.
- Collaborate with team members to implement lean manufacturing practices and improve production processes.
- Conduct assembly tasks as needed and assist in tooling setup for various projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Machinist in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CNC programming (Fanuc preferred) and CAM programming techniques.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot machining issues effectively.
- Basic math skills for calculations related to machining processes.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment is advantageous.
