Job: Quality Control Inspector

Hours: 7-4:30 M-F

Pay: $19/Hour

Overview: The Quality Control Inspector ensures products meet established quality standards by conducting inspections, identifying defects, and maintaining compliance with company and regulatory requirements. This role is crucial in ensuring product consistency, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

 

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Inspection and Compliance

  • Inspect all in-process production and finished products to ensure compliance with contract specifications.
  • Perform final inspections on all orders before releasing them for shipment.
  • Remove products that do not meet production standards.
  • Perform quality control inspections at different locations.
  • Adhere to and comply with the shipping requirements for customers that require special routing.

Defect Identification and Resolution

  • Determine the causes of product defects and reworks.
  • Notify the appropriate supervisor and document inspection results, deviations, and non-conformities in reports.
  • Propose improvements to the production process.

Documentation and Record Keeping

  • Maintain accurate, complete, and legible test report records for the required time.
  • Document inspection results, deviations, and non-conformities in reports.

Communication and Collaboration

  • Communicate effectively and thoroughly with management and peers about any results or inspection findings outside of specifications.

Policy and Procedure Adherence

  • Read, comprehend, and follow policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years or more of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Two years of line inspection experience is preferred.
  • One year of quality control experience is preferred.
  • Ability to operate a fax machine, copier, and product testing equipment.
  • Ability to read a ruler and a tape measure.
  • Ability to walk and/or stand for extended periods with frequent bending and light to medium lifting.
  • Ability to climb and move a safety rolling ladder.
  • Must be able to understand and apply government contract specifications and inspection requirements.
  • Must be able to withstand extreme hot and cold temperatures in warehouses.
  • Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word skills/knowledge.
