Title: Small Engine Mechanic
Pay: [$16-22 DOE
Hours: Monday – Friday, 7-4pm (some Saturdays as needed)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Small Engine Mechanic to join our team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining small engines such as lawnmowers, chainsaws, generators, pressure washers, and other outdoor power equipment. The ideal candidate has hands-on mechanical experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to delivering quality service.
Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair two-stroke and four-stroke small engines

Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, spark plug replacement, and carburetor adjustments

Troubleshoot electrical systems, fuel systems, and mechanical components

Test equipment for proper operation after repairs

Maintain accurate service records and repair logs

Order parts and track inventory for small engine repairs

Keep work area organized, safe, and clean

Provide excellent customer service when explaining repair needs and completed work
Requirements:

Proven experience as a small engine mechanic or technician

Knowledge of two-stroke and four-stroke engines, fuel systems, and electrical troubleshooting

Ability to read manuals, diagrams, and service instructions

Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the day

Own basic set of mechanic’s tools preferred

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification a plus
