Title: Counter Sales Associate
Pay: $15/hour (Commission available after permanent hire)
Hours: Monday–Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Saturday 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM (One guaranteed weekday off)
Location: Bossier City, LA
Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Junkyard Counter Sales Associate to join a fast-paced salvage yard team in Bossier City. This role is responsible for assisting customers in locating and purchasing automotive parts while delivering excellent service and maintaining organized operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist walk-in and phone customers with locating used auto parts
- Identify parts using inventory systems, catalogs, and basic vehicle knowledge
- Provide pricing, availability, and compatibility information
- Process sales transactions and handle cash/card payments
- Coordinate with yard staff to pull and verify parts
- Maintain clean and organized counter and showroom area
- Answer incoming calls and respond to customer inquiries
- Build relationships with repeat customers and vendors
Qualifications
- Previous sales, automotive, or parts experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of vehicles and automotive parts is a plus
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills for inventory lookup and sales processing
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Compensation & Benefits
- $15/hour starting pay
